• If you are a PrimeHost customer, you can save files to your Web site on the hosting server.
• If you are an AOL member, you can publish up to 2 MB of pages and other files per screen name. There are some details you'll need to know about which version of the AOL software you'll need, a software "patch" you'll need to install, and sources for more information. The Web address for your AOL space is http://members.aol.com/screen_name, where "screen_name" is the name you used to log into AOL. (To publish to your AOL space, you have to be logged into AOL.)
• If you download and install the AOLserver software, you can save files to that server.
• You can also use AOLpress to save files with FTP. (Many Internet Service Providers provide FTP access to your Web directories.)

If you have access to any of the first three options, try the steps below to publish this page to your Web site. (We'll give you directions for deleting the files, too.) You'll need to know your URL (the "address" of your Web site), your username, and your password.

If you don't have access to any of the first three options, you should click on one of the links above to find out how to get access. Meanwhile, you can skip to the FTP instructions.

1. Connect to your service provider if you aren't already connected.
2. If the page you saved in the last lesson if it isn't already open, use FileOpen to open it. (Or, you can choose FileNewNew Page to create a new page.)
3. With the new page active, choose FileSave As.
4. In the Page Location field, type the URL where you you want to save this page and the filename (for example, http://members.aol.com/screen_name/pubpage.htm or http://www.foo.bar.com/pubpage.htm).
5. Then, click OK.
6. You may be prompted for your username and password. If so, type these and click OK.
7. That's it, this page (and all the graphics in it) should now be saved on the Web. You can use AOLpress or any other Web browser to look at it.

3. With the new page active, choose FileSave As.
4. In the Location field, type the full FTP location where you you want to save this page (for example, ftp://username@your.ftp.site/path/filename.htm).
   • "username" should be the name you would use to login with FTP.
   • "your.ftp.site" should be the name of your FTP server. (For example, "ftp.mydomain.com".)
   • "path" should be the directory path to your file. Use the directory path you would follow in FTP (which may be different from the directory path in the Web address).
5. Now, click OK to save your page.
6. You may be prompted for your username and password. Type these and click OK.

If you want to email a page as as ordinary text rather than with all the HTML codes, click the Options button in the "Save As" window, choose the "Text" file format and click OK. Then type "mailto:TakeThisOuTusername-Remove- at address.com" in the Location field and click OK.
