NLSFUNC + Selecting Code Pages with CHCPAllows you to select code pages (character sets) with the
CHCP (change code page) command.

[d:][path] NLSFUNC [fd:][fpath][COUNTRY.SYS]
OPTIONS
[d:][path] Specifies the drive
letter and path that
contain the NLSFUNC
command file.
[fd:][fpath][COUNTRY.SYS] Specifies the drive
letter and path of the
COUNTRY.SYS file. Use
only if this file is not
located in the current
directory.
NLSFUNC allows you to use the CHCP command to select
additional character sets (code pages).
EXAMPLES
NLSFUNC
loads the NLSFUNC command, using the COUNTRY= command as defined
in the CONFIG.SYS file.
NLSFUNC C:\SPEC\COUNTRY.SYS
loads the NLSFUNC command while specifying that the COUNTRY.SYS
file is stored in a directory named SPEC on drive C.
NOTE
NLSFUNC must be loaded before you use the CHCP command to
change code pages.
